King Family News for 2021

January We celebrate the New Year with six of our children at a vacation house near Bend Oregon. Ronda and Caleb fly to Colombia for two weeks working with Bethani and her team helping Venezuelan refugees.
March Hannah and Ryan buy their first house in Medford. Sierra starts a new job as a PA at Providence Hospital Cardiac Center in Walla Walla.
May Brenden and Moeko visit and we travel to Rosario Beach. Rylee knocks it out of the park at her piano recital.
June 19 – Ryan and Hannah wed in our yard on a lovely afternoon. So much love, so many warm human connections.
July 10-month old Vienna learns to walk. We swim in Crater Lake. Niece Kari Rose weds on a magical Oregon beach. On July 13 Bethani starts her Missouri River kayak trip from the Headwaters to James Kipp, 400 miles downstream, then another 200 miles on the Yellowstone River.
August Nine of our children join us at a Lake Coeur d'Alene cabin for a week of water fun. We welcome Paula Ruiz to our house. She is a student from Cucuta, Colombia attending WWVA.
September Rylee starts her Senior year at WWVA. Niece Kami Rose weds surrounded by the stunning Wallowa Mountains.
October Willa competes with the top students in Organic Chemistry class at WWU. Caleb starts working as a high school volleyball and basketball referee.
November Rylee’s WWVA varsity volleyball team blazes through their season undefeated and then to the State Tournament in Yakima. They reach the championship game and finish second in State. Sierra and Tyler move from their tiny house into a bigger house remodeled by Tyler.
December Art takes his bride of 42 years on an Anniversary trip to the far corner of Texas. They see Elon Musk’s Starship rocket up close and personal. Ronda is flexible about her definition of “romantic getaway”.
Wrap-up Children are in Fremont MI (Elissa, David and family), Memphis TN (Brenden and Moeko), Colombia, traveling (Bethani), Medford OR (Hannah and Ryan). Walla Walla WA (Sierra, Tyler, Ian, Taylor, Caleb, Willa, Rylee).
We are thankful for each of them, and for all the good family time together this year.
